Sustainability Program & Activation

A long-term sustainability target was developed, and a technical strategy designed. Competing demands and different implications on the functions are blocking the seamless realization of the targets and vision.

Our Approach & Results

Approach

  • A cross-functional and brand-agnostic program was set up to create a shared understanding and design an aligned way forward

  • The program was split into two in-person workshop series over the span of five months, with a total 10 companywide workshops and +300 participants:

    • Creation of a function & brand-specific understanding of the upcoming demands

    • Design of a cross-functional alignment and concrete roadmaps for the different product categories & brands

  • Impulse presentations were designed to ensure a sense of urgency and motivation

Results

  • A fundamental understanding within each function of the company for the upcoming sustainability demands and their implications was created

  • Function-specific action plans with concrete ownerships designed

  • A cross-functional alignment and the creation of shared targets and roadmaps ensures the feasible realization of the targets

  • The workshop and co-design approach enabled a shared sense of ownership and set the basis for a companywide transformation

  • An internal sustainability compass was created to enable sustainable product developments companywide
